ChildShe stands alone, surrounded by so many, yet completely by herself.  No one notices this child. Her frail pale skin clinging to her thin frame, the fine wisps of deep red hair, full of split ends, continually battling against the wind, her dull gray eyes, use to be blue, void of life. A shell, living but only just.   
Its no surprise that no one notices she cries. The back of her hand wiping the mucus running from her nose or her fingers trying to clear the tears from her cheek.  Passersbys don’t even try to step around her, just brush past, handbags banging against her, shoving her around, in the middle of chaos she Child

Laughing with the MoonThey watched as human finally made it to the moon, a great achievement for the species and the planet.  The celebrations of this moment. The only life from planet earth to reach its daughter.  And they laughed.  They laughed not out of cruelty or because, on a grander scale the human race has achieved nothing, they laughed because their children had taken a step toward becoming great.  The same way parents laugh with their child when it comes home with its first A+ in their spelling test.
